How long do you put your bandit on the charger for? I have had mine on for 8 hours and the L shaped battery still is not building any heat. Not sure if i am charging long enough? I use a timer to automaticly shut the charger off so i dont over-charge the battery. Curious what Minaska owners think.. Thanks all...

Eric, that's a good question. I just bought one on ebay 5 minutes ago. I would like to know the same thing.

I usually charge mine about the same time, it never seems to get very warm either.

You don't want your battery to get warm or hot it damages the battery.

If you used it all day, 6-8 hours or overnite should be plenty. There are better battery chargers than the plug-ins all manufacturers send you. The MH C777-PlusII analyzes, discharges, conditions, and recharges Li, NiMH, NiCd, SLA singles and battery packs. Great idea for guys with a lot of rechargeables. It isn't the best, but it's decently priced. There are better chargers (more money) too.

This is the charger i have for all of my RC stuff. It works great and extends the life of ALL my rechargable batteries. I assume it would work awesome for the bandit batteries

This is a decent link to a lot of stuff on recharging batteries - this one is the lead acid section, but there are others. Still, I've charged the lead acid Bandits directly into the accessory circuit of the pickup and recharged them very quickly without heat or premature failures. It may be wrong, but it sure works.

From Jeph's website there were a couple of other interesting chargers.

And a couple more from elsewhere. I'm going to get one of these things, just can't quite figure out which one. With so many rechargeable doodads, it'll be nice to know which batteries are best by test, not by label or anecdote.
