Randy Anderson - The Truth 5 is out!

The TRUTH V Calling All Coyotes features Randy Anderson and his usual cast of characters as they chase the wiley coyote all over Alberta, Saskatchewan, Nebraska, Kansas, New Mexico and Texas. The TRUTH V features the Power Dogg in several hunts as Randy discusses set-up techniques as well as the when and how of using the call. In our opinion, the highlight of this DVD is Wooley and his 700 yard shot on a coyote that just would not commit. The TRUTH V contains 72 kills and 3 hours of coyote calling.

http://callingcoyotes.com/prodinfo.asp?number=RANTRUDVD5

VIDEO REVIEW - TBR Outdoors Predators: Round 1

I have had this 2 DVD set for awhile but just never made the time to sit down and watch it. Well I finally finished watching it and thought I would write up my review!

TBR Outdoors consists of three guys from my home State of Missouri who hunt in Missouri and Kansas on public and private land. The appear to primarily use electronic callers and use distress sounds as well as coyote vocalizations. They do a whole lot of hunting with AR's with a little bolt action shooting thrown into the mix. These hunts appear to take place in the fall and winter. Some of the stands are made in the snow. You'll see 40 kill shots on this 2 disk set comprised of coyote and even a few bobcats. The best stand of the video has 5 coyotes coming to the call with three of them on the ground. The term to remember for this video is "yipper".

The two disk set can be bought through the TBR Outdoors website for $16.95 plus a VERY reasonable shipping charge based on your ZIP code. Shipping for me was just $3.

Here are some thing that I liked, disliked, or found neutral about this video. Of course this is my own opinion and other viewers might feel differently

Likes

-Most of the video sequences show a timer intermittently so you can see how long it takes an animal to respond.
-The price of this video and shipping is very reasonable; you can get it delivered to your door for right around $20.
-They show their hits as well as their misses during this video
-You can hear the hunters talking after the hunt is over.

Dislikes

-These guys sit out on a pond dock in chairs to discuss the video clips much like the folks at Primo's
-There are several times that they show the hunter walking ALL the way out to pick up an animal at 2X speed. I just started to fast forward through them after the second one.
-Watching them run around in their towels in a hotel playing tricks on one another didn't do anything for me.

Neutral

-A few of the hunts are in the snow and show a pretty graphic blood trail. One hunt even shows the blood spraying out. It didn't bother me, but I know there are some folks who might object or just want a little warning.
-There is a segment where they go see the guy who puts up their pelts they could have done more with and made it educational.
-The camera work is a little shaky at times, but overall it is better than some of the other video's I have seen.

This may be a work in progress as I remember more details about the video worth sharing.
